An ongoing tasting of wines under the $10 mark, accessible in Vancouver, that we will post about regardless of whether we loved it or it was absolutely putrid.  We will wade through bottles of bad plonk to find those hidden gems around town and hope that in doing this, you won’t have to do the same.

MezzoMondo Negroamaro Salento 2007

Puglian grape, black black black, lush, plummy, earthy and crazy delicious.  $10 on the nose from the BCLDB stores.

This guy’s got some body to ‘im.  We had it with chili.  Delicious.  We had it with leftover chili.  Delicious.

I love that black olive thing it’s got goin’ on, with a lashing of garlic and a touch of heat.  It’s a liquid black olive tapenade.  Goes well with, um, well…  Black olive tapenade!

When you’re done with the bottle, I’d recommend the Crest Total Whitening toothpaste.  For about ten minutes.
