The New Zealand Wine Fair hits Vancouver this Thursday at the Vancouver Convention And Exhibition Centre.  I’ll be hitting the trade portion from 2:30 – 5:00, and blog about it in the near future.

I’m stoked to get into some Central Otago fare, plus trying a lot of Viogniers, Pinks, Syrahs and other styles we don’t commonly see in our market.  A nice thing they’ve done on the website is provide a list of what will be poured, so I can actually form some sort of strategy of what I need to taste while I’m there, so when the inevitable socializing happens, I’ll have a good gauge of how much work I have left to do before the thing ends.  It looks like they’ve brought a very unique selection of stuff, if you have the chance – this looks like a fun one.

While we’re on the subject of tastings, I’m also heading to the IVSA Tasting at the Four Seasons today, to try some of the new products brought in by the BCLDB.  After that, popping across the street to try some South Okanagan stuff, too!  You’ll get a report on these soon as well…
