So, I’m going to MC the Undercover event for The Shooting Stars Foundation on October 29th!

The Foundation:

The Shooting Stars Foundation produces unique special events with passion, integrity and innovation to raise money for people living with HIV/AIDS.  Their grants support community based organizations providing supplemental health care, food and shelter to persons living with HIV/AIDS. The Foundation Board oversees the receipt and distribution of funds from our events to frontline HIV/AIDS organizations.

The Event:

“Undercover” – Targeting wine with the most “bang for your buck” (under $19.95), all wines will be “under cover” (hidden) throughout the tasting with patrons choosing their favourites via their palette rather than labels. During the last half hour the covers come off and all will be revealed.

A silent auction will give guests an opportunity to “make a deal” while contributing to the cause and this year they will feature a “Treasure Trove”.  They will have 100 keys for sale at $10 each. Midway through the event “key owners” will be asked to come and try to unlock the trunk. The key that opens the lock will receive the prize contained inside.

Undercover is at Performance Works on Granville Island on October 29th at 7:30 p.m.  Tickets are only $37, and can be purchased right over here…
