A victory today in British Columbia on the “Cellared in Canada” front. We’ve long been advocates of clearly labeling products and shelves as well as complete transparency when it comes to the wines being sold from the government run liquor stores.
The Vancouver Sun is reporting that starting Monday Nov 9, several new signs will be displayed in BCLDB stores, making the wine’s origin obvious for consumers. This is a great step for maintaining a perception of BC wine quality both locally and globally, especially coupled with the fact that many of the Cellared in Canada producers are in the process of becoming clearer with their labeling. Cheers!
