Due to Jake’s recent post of the awesome Gallo Chablis commercial, I started trolling around, looking at Gallo’s other commercials (mini time capsules, really) going way, way back:

While traversing them, I happened upon this short, warm tribute to Ernest Gallo that gives a great synopsis of how revolutionary the Gallo brothers were in their early, pivotal years.

As a side note, this video was produced by the Modesto Bee, which has always been my favourite name for a newspaper.
