It is with heavy hearts that we, Kurtis J. Kolt and Jacob A. Skakun, formally announce that we are retiring and ceasing any relationship with the global wine industry effective immediately.  While both of us have felt incredibly passionate, ambitious and enthusiastic about all aspects of the wine world, it appears that the entire industry is hurtling towards an untimely end and we both feel it necessary to explore other ventures.

From Decanter.com:

Sarah Palin To Speak At US Wine Convention

January 14, 2010

Former US Vice-Presidential candidate Sarah Palin will speak at this year’s Wine & Spirits Wholesalers of America (WSWA) convention in Las Vegas.  The former Governor of Alaska has been named as the keynote speaker at the organisation’s 67th annual convention in April, despite having no known affiliation with the drinks industry.  The announcement marks a break in convention for the WSWA’s biggest event of the year, whose keynote speakers are usually important drinks industry figures.

‘Governor Palin is a great supporter of America’s free enterprise system and understands that industries like the beverage alcohol industry play a key role in driving our national economy,’ said Craig Wolf, WSWA president and CEO.

The content of Palin’s speech at the Caesar’s Palace venue is unknown.

‘We expect she will share with the convention attendees her analysis of the current political environment and her vision for America’s future,’ said Wolf.

(Oh, yeah.  Are we just joking about retiring?  “You betcha!”)

I don’t blame you for “retiring”.
