Lopez truly is fantastic and thanks to Kristian for continuing to bring them in. And thanks for blogging about them guys. And sorry Shea. We had the '81 gran reserva bianco at staff party recently and it was most likely the wine of the night along with Tissot's Savignin (in a ridiculous line up).

Cheers.

Nice to see you on here Joon! That was a great post on Heredia.

Khristian: I can't wait. I hope you get a chacne to do another tasting as Matt forgot to put my email on the invite to the last one. The couple wines I've had from Heredia have been outstanding.

Thanks for the shout-out! If I were in SF (or California... or the West Coast) right now I'd definitely go to this event as it sounds AMAZING. Those of you who haven't tried anything from R. Lopez de Heredia: do yourselves a favor, pony up the $25, and try these wonderful wines. I mean, when else can you try a wine from 1987, much less a Gran Riserva?

In Vancouver,

Kits and Dundarave Wine Cellars have the best selection of these wines with vintages (red, white and rosado) going back to 1981.

I did a couple of tastings with them in the past few months- these are stellar, super traditional wines.

I just processed another order for the 2 stores from Lopez de Heredia and in a couple of weeks they should also have some magnums of Tondonia Reserva Tinto 2000, the Cubillo crianza 2003 just arrived as did the Bosconia Reserva 2001 (killer vintage).

The stores also sell some 375ml bottles.

This is one of my suppliers that I am VERY proud to represent!
