I have yet to taste Syrah from New Zealand, but if the Kiwis bring the same quality to the table that they have been for Pinot Noir, I’d love to try it. Wine writer Jamie Goode has just returned from a taste-a-thon in New Zealand and shares his excitement on a grape with only 300ha of plantings. Plus, I like how he says Syrah.
