Tantalus’ new digs, borrowed from John Schreiner.

I realize that I’m nearly two weeks late on this, but one of my favourite BC producers has finally cut the ribbon on their new green winery. Perched high above Kelowna and Lake Okanagan, Tantalus’ LEED Gold Certified home is now open for business. All the fruit used to make their wine is estate grown on their 50 acres of organically farmed vineyards. If you know me this will be no surprise, but it’s my opinion that Tantalus produces the pinnacle BC Riesling (and possibly all other BC whites for that matter). The new space includes an art gallery and is open for public tastings daily from noon until 5:00pm. I can’t wait to make it down for a visit.

Check out Mike Nierychlo’s video from his recent visit to Tantalus, which gives you a great glimpse inside.
