On Civilized Tastings

Wait, you can legally do fun stuff like this in other countries?

I wanted to share this lovely video of a Parisian tasting from Bertrand Celce’s site Wine Terroirs. It may just be the most civilized wine tasting I’ve ever seen. Outdoors and in the sun, great wine, the chance to chat at a leisurely pace with the winemakers (all women), and even in the presence of children. Nice to see NoĆ«lla Morantin pouring as well. I also love how the front windows of the wine shop are written on as a backdrop for each winemaker. A great contrast to this gloomy day. I’ll try to visualize this scene during the next IVSA.

Check out Wine Terroir’s post about the ‘wonder women’ tasting here.
